Yesterday I saw my first Lynx, not far from Västerås. I have waited for this encounter for as long as I can remember, but when it did happen, it was surprisingly surprising. I think my heart skipped a few beats. When I saw this big cat sitting by the forest edge, I was truely happy. Needless to say, it was a fantastic experience!

It had a very short tail. I didn't think it was normal, but as I later found out, they all have short tails. So I learned something new.

I was hoping that the Lynx would go to attack, but unfortunately it didn't. Instead, it sat down by a rock (almost as if it knew that it was being very well camouflaged) and watched them. Later it walked into the forest, and dissapeared. This was my first Lynx, but it could be the last time I'll ever see this amazing cat. I hope it wasn't, though.
